About Fired Arts

Priscilla queen of the Echidnas

About 35 years ago I began China Painting as a hobby.  I already had a love of art, but painting on Porcelain really got under my skin.  I needed a kiln to fire my work, and that lead to a fascination of what I could do with glass in a kiln, which in turn lead to an addiction of putting the two things together.  The fascination is still alive and driving me.  And now I’m coming back to drawing and watercolour.  Wonder if that will take over.!? and complete the circle.

My aim has been to create work that will  generate discussion, provoke responses, entertain and hopefully communicate new and challenging ideas, and extend the range of our Art Form.
